1985-1991 Teaching assistant and then lecturer in Zhejiang University (former Zhejiang Agricultural University) ;1991-1992 Visiting scientist in The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK; 1992-1998 Visiting scientist, PhD student, research fellow in The Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB), UK and received PhD degree in QUB; 1997.11-present Professor & Researcher and PhD supervisor in the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISS, CAS); 2000-present Guest professor and PhD supervisor in Zhejiang University.
