I was born in October 1960. I graduated from Shengyang Agriculture College and got the degree of B Sc. I am now a professor at Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the deputy head of Fengqiu Agro-ecological Experimental Station of CAS. I won the honrary titles of "Youth Pacesseter of Science and Technology of Jiangsu Province" in 1997 and "National Advanced Worker of Agricultural Science and Technology" adwarded by the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture, MWR and National Forestry Bureau in 2001. I was the selected in the Third Level of Plans of Cross-century Talents Cultivating of Jiangsu Province and a member of the Tenth and Eleventh NPC of Xinxiang, Henan Province.

| I mainly engaged in the research of soil water movement, water-saving agriculture, plant physiology, cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines, agro-ecological environmental comprehensive management of Huang-Huai-Hai Plain and so on. |
