Resume:
Yuanhua Dong Graduated and awarded a Bachelor Degree of agriculture from Huazhong agricultural University in 1985, awarded a Master Degree and Doctor Degree of science in Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 1988 and 1993 respectively. He has been working in the Institute of Soil Science since 1988, focusing on the soil ecology and pollution ecology. He had researched on the effect of the Three Gorges Project on soil swamping from 1988 to 2000, and studied on the bio-indication of environmental quality in the Tai lake area since 1999, concentrating on the accumulation of heavy metals, PAHs and PCBs in the food chains of the wetland ecosystems, and the effects of soil pollution on health of vegetables and soil ecosystems. He has highlighted on the pollution level, environmental behaviors and ecological risks of heavy metals and veterinary medicines in manures and soils recent years. Moreover, he has worked on the techniques of manure management and fertilizer application, establishing a green technique of fertilizer application which could decrease significantly application rate of fertilizers and pesticides, and suppress effectively soil-borne diseases and soil degradation.
Direction:
Soil Ecology/Pollution Ecology
